On 29th August this year I (Simon Williams) plan to set out from John O'Groats, the northern most tip of UK and over the course of 14 days plan to cycle over 900 miles to reach Lands End, the UK's most southern point. Every day I plan to cycle on average 70 miles, stopping at Bed and Breakfasts in the evening to collapse and sleep. I have chosen to go from the north to the south as I figure that it has to be downhill going in that direction, certainly looks that way on a globe.

I am doing the ride for a charity local to where I live in Milton Keynes called Willen Hospice www.willen-hospice.org.uk The hospice helped provide support to my mum and the rest of the family during her last few weeks of her life and I would like to give a little money back to them so that other families can benefit from the absolutely amazing job they do.
