 MKDonsForum

MK Dons held their Fans Forum in the Red Dot Bar tonight (Thursday) to a host of over 150 fans.

The floor was opened up to all questions and not just about the MK Dons.

A lot of questions were probably aimed at Karl Robinson regarding the Dons current form to which both he and Dean Lewington gave very valid responses to.

John Cove chaired the evening quite elegantly by distributing questions to Pete Winkelman, John Brockwell and even Shaun O'Hara regarding referee decisions, the England captaincy and how much a special unit costs for the broken scoreboard.

Andrew Cullen was on hand to advise that with the current catering contract coming to an end and how the Match Day Experience Working Group will be involved with assisting the club on moving forward with its renewal or whether to bring it in house.

Special guest of the evening was TV Presenter Kevin Piper from the BBC's Late Kick Off who was also available to give a very unbiased view of what MK Dons have done and are yet to do and is a fan of what MK Dons are doing but stressed he is NOT a fan of the MK Dons (wrong colours).  He also gave his input (as did other members of the panel) on goal line technology.

The world cup bid was raised and Pete was applauded as was everyone else involved in getting Milton Keynes on the world map and even more so should England win the bid.

As with all things MK Dons there was a raffle and 1st prize was a signed MK Dons shirt.  The MKDSA's Trevor Winn swept around the room to raise £150.00 in raffle tickets with proceeds going towards the MK Dons Academy, but best was yet to come.

The 1st ticket drawn was won by ex Don Paul Mitchell who quickly gave the signed shirt up for auction (which he ran). It was won with a formidable bid of £100.00 which is being donated to the MK Dons SET Help For Heroes Corporate Bike Challenge - full story on that available here

Other prizes included chocolates and wine which were gratefully received (especially the wine) by the winners.

Kevin Piper praised the supporters and the club for arranging the fans forum.  He also stated that it was quite unique, especially with the clubs relationship with the fans.  Kevin had been at the stadium most of the day collating material for a special treat for MK Dons fans a week next Monday probably, on the Late Kick Off.
