Special event volunteers sought by the Dons
Created on Friday, 16 December 2011
The MKDSA have received an unusual but important request from MK Dons Football Club. Donny and Mooie are a recognised and important part of the matchday experience for both the young and young at heart. They often bring a smile to the faces of Dons fans with their crazy antics and provide welcoming faces for the children in particular.
What isn't so well known is the fact that the loveable mascots also attend a number of other events in support of local organisations and charitable causes. The club are now looking for volunteers who would be prepared to give a small amount of their time to "be" Donny and Mooie... and yes... that means wearing the costumes at events. It's important to add that volunteers would NOT be needed on matchday, just for additional events only.
Volunteers should be over 18 years of age and will be subject to a CRB (vetting) check. You would be added to a pool of volunteers and wouls also be reimbursed for your travelling expenses.
